G-fused- There are actually gonna have some fancy games but unfortunately I don't know how to play them.
CSD610 - yes it would have helped if I went with someone I know. I would definetely be more comfortable.
G-fused- I don't have any pets; and I don't think it's allowed in the park we're going.
I guess I'm left with option of just walking up to people huh? Not sure how that's gonna work for me.

I was going to suggest somethign similar - get a book, there are tons of 'em. I would not suggest "How to win friends and influence people" as a choice for this however. It's a great book, just not right for this occassion, IMO.
just walk up and hold your hand out and say Hi Im ____________your name and shake their hand and then you have broken the ice .
