Hi everyone!

My husband and I are in our late 30's, no kids (well, we have two declawed/fixed cats....furry kids!), and are renting on Long Island. My husband commutes to midtown Manhattan and I am job hunting and completing my education.

I have some family in the Rockland area and we have considered moving there, as it seems to be more our style than Long Island. We will have to rent for a while first, so I was curious about which areas have nice and affordable (2000 and under) places to rent. I love Pearl River, but I am not sure how the rental situation is there. I don't see much on Craigslist for PR. My family that lives in the area is sending me some info, but I would love as much input as possible. Any insight is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
