If New Yorkers aren't already paying enough taxes, here's another one: The cash-strapped state is considering a delay next month in state income-tax refunds.
A potential delay in sending out tax-refund checks would help the state from going broke before the end of the fiscal year April 1.
If they delay tax refunds, anyone due to receive one should sue the state... because you know the state wouldn't hesitate to fine you hundreds or thousands of dollars if the situation were reversed.
I can understand Patterson cutting back on spending, heck its what got us into this mess. But we have been over budget for 40 years? And each time the state raises taxes to compensate. Holding on to refunds is pretty low. Its nice to know that they can take whatever they want, when they want.
This truly has the potential to be the year of the people in NYS. There is an EXTREMELY strong anti-incumbent vibe throughout the state. Patterson doesn't have a snowflakes chance in hell of getting re-elected and neither do many state representatives.

After all this, I really hope people get out and vote these people out. We won't be out of the woods for years, so it won't be like we didn't remind anyone.
Meh... it doesn't matter if we oust all the incumbents... give the new government officials a week in office and we'll be back to the 'same old, same old'.
