Hello,

I just moved to the area aug '09 and i've been digging for 6 months for a good female family practice doctor (or at least a VERY good male doctor that isn't uncomfortable to be seen by) in the Orange County area.

1 i found ended up specializing in elderly care. I am 27 years old so she was completely off base for my needs.

and the last one i found was such a cold and bitter person. Worst bedside manner i've ever experienced. I've never been so uncomfortable and anxious to get out of a doctors office before.

Anyone out there can give me some info or advise here???

Thanks

- Tanya

I asked my gynecologist ( Dr. Bogursky) a while ago for a suggestion for a Family Practice/Internist for my daughter- in her twenties- and she suggested Dr. Perla Andin- on Little Britain Rd. My daughter is no longer in the area and does not need a local Dr., so no further information. I myself use Dr.George Profeta, also in New Windsor. I feel comfortable with him and his medical staff. A friend sees and does recommend Dr. Janice Wolf-( again, in New Windsor) She highly respects her, but says that Dr. Wolf is definitely not a particularly warm person.

I've seen Dr. Andin's office but she isn't covered under my insurance i really wanted to see her as her office looks pretty good. I actually had Dr. Wolf as my first doc that i found. She was alright but i didn't feel she covered anything I needed. From my understanding she specializes in mostly elderly care. And i found it a little contradictive that she was questioning me about my weight and also specializes in weight control ... yet is out of shape herself. She was nice though but at 27, I dont think i need an osteoprocous (spelling??lol) test LOL

Default New Windsor Dr.

I and my family go to Dr. Sashi Makam whos office is just off rt 94 in New Windsor. He is in a group and I don't know if he is taking new patients but you can not find a more knowledgable, caring, comfortable Dr. I don't know a great female Dr. because I have been totally happy with the Dr. I have. The number is 845 561-1270
