First-time poster, but long-time reader! I'm currently in graduate school and moving back to the Rockland area (family in the area). My wife and I were thinking about purchasing a home. Based on our research, we decided against it since we think that there is more pain to come in the market before things get better. That said, we are looking to rent in the Rockland County area, ideally New City, Nanuet, Bardonia, Blauvelt, etc. We're just looking for a 1 bedroom in a managed community that is safe and easily accessible to major highways.
Any suggestions on complexes in Rockland? We've seen Avalon and Jeanne Marie gardens, but they both seem to have very negative reviews online ranging from holding back security deposits to personal privacy.
Would appreciate any personal experiences/insight.
