Hello. I am looking for a city that is cheap. I am newly single and am going to fend for myself. I moved from Seattle, am now in pasadena, ca. I love pasadena, but I think all of cali is expensive unless you want to risk your life and move in the ghetto. Anyways, the East coast has always appealed to me maybe because of the good transporation. Well, any help would be very helpful. Thanks

It would help if you listed your priorities, such as importance of nightlife, culture, or outdoor activities. Most Upstate cities are much cheaper to live in than California. I live outside Syracuse and highly recommend the area. Good luck.

I second Syracuse and considering the affordable housing market(5th in the nation according to a recent publication), it would be a place to look at.
