I want to move to a city where I can buy a cup of coffee or do something at 1am if I so choose. I want a city with lots of stuff do. But I also can't afford more than $800 a month and have no desire to live in the projects. I like a little grit in my city but don't want to get shot or mugged either. I'm from orlando and going to law school; will need to transfer to a school in NY. So what cities should I start my search in?

I was looking at Connecticut but my g/f is going into teaching and they seem to be having problems affording teachers, similar to the problem here in Florida. So I also need a city that needs Highschool History teachers.

Syracuse, the law school was good enough for the Vice President.

I personally like Albany better than Syracuse... nice historic buildings and the cool Lark Street area. It also has it's own ghetto hood so there is yer grit for ya. Personally I would love to live in Delmar and have the city a few minutes away.
