One of Rochester's best breakfast sandwiches resurfaces in a Scottsville restaurant: https://www.democratandchronicle.com...ts/8466760002/
A portion of the article, if you can't view it: :For years, a visit to the Rochester Public Market wouldn't be complete without a trip to the Scott's II stand for what many would argue was Rochester's best breakfast sandwich — a grilled Martusciello's roll filled with a fried egg, a slice of American cheese and strips of bacon, perfectly crisp, protruding from the sides of the roll.
But a large part of the draw was the Scott family, who made their customers feel welcome. Many enjoyed bantering with Cedric Scott, who would discuss the weekend's sporting events as he cooked on the flat-top.
Roosevelt Scott (Cedric's father) and Jannie Scott Thornton, two of eight siblings from a South Carolina sharecropping family who all moved to Rochester, opened the stand in 1991. They closed it in December 2019 after 28 years in business, as they both were in their 70s and were ready to retire.
Now Cedric Scott, 39, has opened Scott’s Scottsville Hots at 3892 Scottsville Road in Scottsville. "It was the right time, the right place,” he said. The restaurant was already known as Scottsville Hots — he just added his name to the front. A new sign is coming soon.
"It’s all still the same family," Cedric Scott said. "My cousins come to help still. All the faces you know from the public market will still be here once in awhile.”
Also, here is last night’s episode of Behind the Woman from Syracuse’s WCNY(PBS affiliate) with the VP of Communications at Colgate University in Hamilton(in between Syracuse and Utica): https://video.wcny.org/video/laura-jack-yldinu/

It is also known for its Football program that has had players go to FCS and FBS Division 1 programs, as well as players at other Divisions in recent and past history. Some in the past have even played in the NFL.
