some have operations in Upstate NY like Exelon in Ontario east of Rochester and Oswego NW of Syracuse; ADP has facilities in Liverpool, Rochester/Pittsford and Albany; IBM in the Hudson Valley; General Mills in Buffalo; General Motors in Rochester and Tonawanda outside of Buffalo; Johnson Controls in East Syracuse; Lockheed Martin in Liverpool and Owego; Xerox in Rochester and some others on the list as well.
On this list: https://www.forbes.com/lists/best-em.../#42e3eda64686 ; The Hartford has facilities in Syracuse and Clinton outside of Utica; RIT in Rochester(the college); Praxair in Tonawanda and Syracuse; Cornell University and others, that I may add later. Others on the list are Roswell Park Cancer Center in Buffalo, Paychex in Rochester(has a facility in the Liverpool area), Regeneron which has a facility in Rensselaer, Wegmans based in Rochester, Kodak in Rochester, Bristol-Myers Squibb which has a facility in East Syracuse, ITT which has facilities in Orchard Park and Seneca Falls and L3 Technologies which has facilities in Rochester and Binghamton.
Just as a refresher, here is some information in terms of where you can find middle class areas with a substantial(at least 10%) black population at different levels. Here is a middle class calculator: https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tan...-middle-class/ (Household size and the metro you are in can be factors as to whether you are in a middle class household).
I'll add more later, but there has been some census estimate changes to where some zips using the sources wouldn't fit, but would fit according to newer information according to American FactFinder. One such zip code is this Buffalo zip code that covers Elmwood Village: 14222 Zip Code - USA.comâ„¢ American FactFinder as of 2017 information has it at 13.8%(15.6% when inc. alone & in combo). 14226, which covers essentially the bulk of the Amherst Central SD and a portion of the Sweet Home SD(or Eggertsville and Snyder) is 10% according to 2017 American FactFinder info(11.7% inc. alone & in combo): 14226 Zip Code - USA.comâ„¢
So, those are a couple of examples of other zips that can fit the middle class median household income and at least 10% black criteria, when view more recent information from other sources.
