We are looking in these 3 counties for a home. We're moving for a great school district first and foremost. Aside from that, I'm now looking for some restaurants and shopping in the town with a little liveliness if possible.

Any come to mind?

I would think generally Rhinebeck and if you cannot find enough in the town, you can always drive to Hudson or Kingston which are conveniently accessible.

New Paltz in Ulster County came to mind, but I don't know if you want to go a little bit further north.

Perhaps Warwick and Goshen in Orange County would be potential options.

Would parts of the Wappeningers Falls SD near Beacon could be a nice happy medium in terms of good schools and proximity to amenities/events?
