Hi--

Late 40s couple with on-campus beginning college kids looking to purchase a small home in either Dutchess or Putnam County. Any recommendations? I'm interested in areas with little or no crime, cultural activities, friendly neighbors, easy commute to NYC, places to dine, shop, etc in the community. And, a good place to retire in the future.

Millbrook, Dutchess County. Quite nice.
