Just got offered a great internship in Manhattan for the summer, but they want me to start next week! I wanted to know if anyone had any good options for an intern (my budget's about $1000-$1500, obviously cheaper would be better). NYU only has doubles left (and they're not air conditioned).
I don't really know NYC very well, can anyone offer some suggestions for neighborhoods/areas that would work well for that budget? I figure craigslist would probably be the best place to look now?
I would look at Astoria or Washington Heights. I'm sure there are some places in Brooklyn to look into, too - but I'm not as familiar with Brooklyn. I would look at subletting - check out subletting websites.
