Its one of the safest areas in the city. The homes there are beautiful, the schools are very good (except for Bayside High School which isn't too great). It's primarily Caucasian and Asian but I've seen people from just about every race there. Bayside's neighbors Douglaston and Little Neck are very good too.
It is easily one of the safest neighborhoods in the entire city. It is mostly a White neighborhood with many Italian and Greek residents. There's also a large population of East Asians.
Bayside Queens is very suburban in character. It loos very much just like Nassau County and not like the rest of NYC. It is as safe as NYC gets. It is mostly Caucasian with an Asian minority and one the more expensive areas in Queens.
Bayside crime is swept under a rug....it has the same safety as the rest of the damn city. There's a lot of drug users out here and a lot of Asian gangs out here
It's safe but there have been incidents of home burglaries from time to time.
