HEY EVERYONE, i took a exam in 2007 and received a 87 and was called for appointment. I was still in high school so i could not go so they put my case in a cold file and told me to call back after college and reopen it. I was not 17 and a half to date the day i took the test i was about 17 and 5 months, would this pose a problem? and my second question is i just recieved another grade of 87 on a recent test i took right when the new salary hike came out and my list number is 347 do i have a pretty good chance of getting called for appointment? any info would be great thanks

Well with the current economic crisis and the mayor looking to cut up to 1,000 cops, it's anyone's guess how long it will take before you are called. Regardless, you have to do your two years of college anyway, so by then I'm sure they will be hiring since there are bound to be retirees and folks who leave the force for other endeavors.

Go to school and get your BA. After that they will probably be hiring again. Maybe. Good Luck
