Can anyone recommend a good steakhouse? I went to Plataforma on 49th st and wasn't blown away (except for the salad bar which was great). Any good steakhouse outside of Manhattan that any of you can recommend? I appreciate the help!

Don't know if you are specifically inquiring about a Brazilian joint. The best steakhouses are punishingly expensive. I've only been to Smith & Wollensky, Gallagher's, Michael Jordan's, Keens, Angelo & Maxie's, and Peter Luger. All of them were yummy, by there is something really special about Peter Luger.

Brazilian restaurants are not normally steakhouses, but Churrascaria style or regular

I can recommend the Porcao buffet on Park and 26

Or the Brazil Brazil which is a regular sit down restaurant on 8th and 46

I'll second the Porcao recommendation. I've been there several times.

The meat and salad bar are great and the service is fantastic. Nice looking dining room too.

My only complaint was the last time we went, it seemed like fewer varieties of meat were being offered. They were coming around a second and third time with the same meats.
