LOL...Ahhh, I remember those days. Boy was it difficult going to Catholic school as a child.

Back to topic, I don't think it makes TOO much of a difference. It was alot of bad kids in my Catholic school. There were plenty of fights, incidents of girls getting caught with guys in the locker room (need I say more) and even some incidents with weapons involved (knives mostly, guns only a few times).

At the end of the day, those Catholic school kids live in the same neighborhoods as the Public school kids so the same issues effect them. Poor does not discriminate.

I don't believe that anyone is suggesting that wearing a school uniform will solve all the socio-economic-educational-moral issues that affect our society.

Your're right, I was just elaborating on a common reason people have for public school kids wearing uniforms.

The positive however is it prepares children for the real world. You have to wear a suit and tie if you work in the business world (or if you want to be respected for that matter, appearance makes a difference as we know). And at just about any job you have to wear SOME type of uniform.

The pros outweigh the cons, so I'm not against it.

Way to go, justfarr. See, we can sometimes agree, sometimes disagree. That's the way it goes. I too believe that there are strong arguments both ways, but like you, I think that the pros outweigh the cons.

Have a great evening.

Take care.
