The meadowlands is really not that far. Well it depends what part of the city you live in. From manhattan and the Bronx its not far at all, but of course there is the traffic.
But I do think the teams not playing in NYC is what contributes in large part to NYC being so much more of a baseball town. I feel the Jets missed a good opportunity recently to move back into the city. Instead they decided to stick it out with the Giants longer. I did not agree with them having a stadium in Manhattan though. I think that was a horrible idea, and never liked it.
atleast the y in the logo sorta kinda looks like a j?....maybe...na
I thought they should have moved to nassau. It frustrates me that i have to wait another twenty years just to entertain that possibility. And also that someone from jersey would obviously have easier access than someone from ny, and thats supposed to be our hometeam. If it was the tri-state giants it would be differant. New york is a seperate state with nothing to do with jersey

The Meadowlands is in the middle of nowhere.. people from Jersey have the same exact access as the people in NYC.

How u figure that. Even if thats so, it would still be a hop skip and a jump on the highway. Lotta new yorkers need that subway flow to get anywhere. They aint bout to take no train all the way to the meadow lands. And what if you live in yonkers or somewhere in long island
My point is, it's 10 minutes into Jersey.. it might as well be on the edge of New York.. if you live deep in Jersey and you're a Giants/Jets fan then it will take you a while to get there.. if you live deep in New York, and you're a Giants/Jets fan then it will take you a while to get there. Likewise if you live closer to 42nd street, or if you live closer to the Meadowlands. And I don't understand what you just said.. you said New Yorkers need a subway flow, then you said they're not about to take a train out there. I'm sorry, but this really doesn't bother me at all.. it's a faster commute to the Meadowlands for me, than for the school I go to which is in my own borough!!

I really dont care how long it takes somebody from jersey to get there. Idk maybe i got the math wrong but off the gwb it seemed like it took a little minute to get to the stadium, it definantly didnt seem like just ten minutes. I live in the bronx and it takes like 10 minutes to get to yankee stadium and about 15 to get to shea
They always talked about linking public transportation to the meadowlands but they never did. They talked about a Path train connection, etc. Yet another reason why NYC is less of a football town and more of a baseball town.
Anyway aren't the Giants/Jets getting a new stadium in a few years, and the meadowlands is going to become some sort of adventure park.

Where's the new stadium going to be? I've vaguely heard about it, but it hasn't really been talked about.
