where are you going to be... I love indian food...
Stay away from Baluchis at all cost...
Last week I went to Daksin Indian Bistro.. It was really good..
Everything except the Nan.. it wasnt fresh for some reason... and it was way to hard..but not burned.
I was impressed by the Chicken Tikka Masala, I had like 12 pieces of chicken.. and large.. My friend order Tandoori Chicken and again it was a lot of food.
This address is
1713 1st Ave, the Upper East Side..
but you have to tell me where are you.. because indian food in Manhattan are everywhere.. and I mean everywhere... Every 3 blocks has a indian rest....

In a street full of curry houses, this one is my favourite:

Brick Lane Curry House

Sonar Goan on E.6th Street. That is "Indian Row" although someone who should know told me that a lot of the restaurants are run by Pakistani's.
You can't miss it, they have red chili pepper shaped "Christmas" lights up in the front. For me that is the best, hands down, accept no substitutions. And it is dirt cheap. Just ask for the lunch or dinner special advertised outside. The special is basically you get samosas, naan, mulligatawny soup, your choice of just about anything on the menu, a mango ice ream, and hot tea. All for like $7.

The lunch buffet is a steal. I'll admit it's the most expensive on the street (at a whopping $10 last I went earlier in the year) but the quality is much, much higher.
