"The first heat wave of the season is here, and we are ready," Mayor Eric Adams said at a press conference. "We expect the National Weather Service to issue a heat advisory for New York City that would be in effect from Thursday, June 20th through Friday, June 21st.”
Climate change rearing its ugly head early this summer (not even summer until tomorrow!).

If you find yourself overheating...

Cooling centers will be set up at sites including libraries, community centers and senior centers. To locate a nearby cooling center, the city is encouraging residents to visit the Cooling Center Finder or call 311.
Stay safe and cool!

Be careful. Hohcul said we haven’t seen these temperatures in our lifetimes. Completely and utterly false. Especially since it was hotter over a decade ago.

It’s going to be 92 degrees. I don’t see why everyone is concerned

That was embarrassing. What kind of person would read blatant lies like that?

Oh yeah, a politician.

I don't think it is any hotter than any other summer we have had.

I do know I'm getting all caught up with my laundry, as this is clothesline weather.

We have a drama queen clown leading us through the danger of this unprecedented heat wave...lots of fun expected!

It’s tempting to think that, but there have been heat waves early in the season for many years.

This was in May 1925. The Great Depression wasn’t yet a thing.

Here is a news article from the period.

Back then there was no global cooling, global warming, climate change.
