I actually just read that review before, but thanks for the help. Mixed reviews, which is probably typical anywhere. More good than bad though. Seems I'll have to check it out and see for myself.

Check it out and let us know what you think about the complex itself and the surrounding areas. I know that the further down Flatbush you go the more the neighborhood changes but this area that you are talking about appears to be decent but only you can determine that for yourself. Best of luck.

Also, those rent prices include utilities and no broker fee, which in itself would add at least $100 monthly at this price range.
along flatbush avenue itself...it has drug issues, and is dirty and noisy as hell. and the train station isnt exactly one block west....you have to walk up flatbush from patio gardens and make a left on lincoln road. also forget about going outside labor day weekend if you're not used to environments like that.

Default Patio Gardens information?

Hey Xhaust50, we are looking at Patio Gardens for my daughter, 24 and single and am wondering about the safety of this building? We live in Prospect Hts., my mom lives around the corner from Patio Gardens, and we love the neighborhood with the park, botanic gardens, brooklyn museum all withing walking distance. I wonder if you had any luck with the apartment search there? I don't know why that person was saying that this is one of the worst parts of Flatbush, I totally disagree, its definitely not the best but nor is it anywhere close to being the worst.

If the general area near Prospect Park is what you're considering, how about the two neighborhoods just on the other side of the park from Lefferts Gardens--I'm referring to Windsor Terrace and Kensington. Of the two, I think Windsor Terrace is probably the more expensive, but they're both nice residential districts.

The PD cooks the books on stats. It has improved there since the bad days but it is still BAD. That part of Flatbush is rough. People get shot there quite a bit. You wil be a target. Do yourself a big favor and do not go there. East Williamsburg, far East on 14 hundred, is your best bet. Enjoy the L train.
