Snide remarks aside, I never said they didn’t travel within their countries. I said we just do it more. Americans move around, both in terms of relocation and travel within this country probably more often than any other place on earth. The NY to Florida connection is a perfect example. You wouldn’t see Seoul people moving to Busan or Jeju or Tokyo residents to Sapporo or Fukuoka as much.
Oh yes, I really wasn’t aware that other countries have cars also. I always thought my Mazda was American. Foolish me.
I think you’re very right. Certainly within Europe, people don’t move around as much within their own nations. If they did the epidemic would already be way worse.
"Money and Power talk loudly, always have and always will."
"Probably every senator, representative, cabinet member, judge who wants the test gets it fast."
You must have heard the president say: “it cost me millions to be president.” He listed a couple of things he used the $$ for: lots of lawyers, ads…
It has to be that way. They have to be tested asap – they’re the gov’t. even if they show no signs – like the President
I bet the President was tested for "TCV" before “the media” badgered him about it. Then he came back to the podium and said, yeah I got tested…happy now?
(God forbid) – they all became ill at once, who’s gonna step in and run things?
vanna white & pat sajak?
Good, they got tested. I hope all NYPD/FDNY, USA Police/Firemen, EMT… get tested next….
Makes me want to go into Manhattan just to experience the desolation because it may never happen again...hopefully......but I don’t want to get on the subway. Maybe if there is a good day soon I’ll get on my bike.
Very interesting story in The Times about how a single party in Ct led to spreading of the virus all around the world in 2 weeks time.
Shows all of the reasons why we are in the predicament we are in. Hopefully not behind the paywall since it's part of their cover coverage.
Thanks for posting. I actually subscribe to the NY times but hadn't seen that one. Sad about the social stigma part. I think that's gone away quite a bit once celebrities started announcing they had it.

One of the more interesting aspects was that the reason they found out so fast was because the guy in South Africa got a test with results the day he got there. If he had tried that here he would probably never have been tested and the rest of them would probably have been clueless for weeks.

So true. I am so aggravated by this country's "response." Some response. Everything was bungled.
Not to get out and walk or anything but I think I would enjoy talking a drive thru the City to enjoy it without traffic.
You could do that before all this, during the overnight.
