It's not that they can easierly medically seperate you. But once they hired you despite your medical condition, they are basically stuck with you. Because once the city hires you after clearing you, they are not going to kick out a disabled veterans that they found medically clear, it's going to be a public relation nightmare. And secondly, you can go Lodi on it, and ride it out for good and try to get 3/4. Think about it from the city point of view, too much of a liability, there's thousand of healthy people waiting.
Uh yeah that's the point of the city DQ'ing him in first place. They don't want to hire him. They didn't clear him. You seem to be confused with the situation we are talking about. LOL
Appealing and winning forces them to hire him and then if he has hip issues down the line the city has all the power. He'll never get 3/4 for a hip injury because the city already DQ'd him for it.
For those confused by the earlier back and forth, the above is the correct info. As stated it's pretty much the entire point of DQing someone. You can still sue if you're hurt later on though, make no mistake. But the city is going to begin with "ladies and gentlemen of the jury, we declared this person unfit and were forced to hire him ana look, we were right." And you're never getting 3/4th without a lawsuit.
Is that only if he has a hip issue down the line? What if he breaks his hand so bad that he can't work anymore? Would he then be able to get 3/4's?
How did he break his hand? I bet it's cause he couldn't support himself well in his hip causing extra stress on his arms and hands through all the years of picking up garbage....
....man.... to hear the banter it's like I've become one of "those" guys without even trying... I want to work... and I want to be able to pay bills and this does both (well after the first year anyway).

Hey awol again since there is no worker comp with dsny if you get hurt is there any way to get award money from a injury
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong or if this question has been answered before.
Can you go sick for pre-existing injury. I'm not talking about 3/4 pay
You can go sick for anything. I wouldn't choose the pre existing injury route.
