No one has gotten "the call" yet.

If indeed July 18th is the first class, they will start calling people two weeks prior or so according to the HR Director when asked.

it's amusing watching people freak out that medical results aren't back in a timely matter or that info isn't known yet or pushed back.....you can tell they haven't dealt with the city before.

Please hold, I'll get back to you Tuesday

What does a typical day look like at DSNY? If you finish your route early, can you just take it easy the rest of the day?

I just received my letter for orientation (list #114x) and have a few questions regarding some of the questions on it.

-I have been disciplined at my current job (suspension). The form asks about that. I'll answer yes, but do I have to give a reason, or just write suspension?

-I'm pretty sure about this one. Traffic violations, it says non traffic violations. So I can just get my driving abstract from the DMV and copy it onto the form. How far back do I have to go? All violations listed on driving abstract?

-Last question is about CDL training class. I plan on getting my CDL on my own, road test is early July. I'm not sure what to do about DSNY CDL training. If I fail my road test, do I just schedule another one or go through DSNY CDL training? If I check no to CDL training now, can I change my mind later?

Thanks for the info!
