They are hiring 320 to 340 this year divided into 3 classes.
Letters for pre ort were sent out til around 800s but she wants to send out to about 1000. Usually the ratio is 2:1, but she is seeing 3:1 due to failed medicals and people not having their CDLs on time. So far she said about 60 medicals are completed and about 10 failed. July class is pretty much filled up according to her estimate. People in this pre ort have a chance for Sept class (List numbers in 700s)... Just get your CDL asap and hopefully medicals go well.
In my class maybe 3 had their actual CDLs and about half had their permits. Medicals are next week.

Got my medical done today, got out before 11 and was done with the whole process at 1. Went to hearing and then Quest on 53rd and Lex, hearing was literally less than a minute and blood work was about 5. The girls at quest work quick, then grabbed the E to court sq 1 stop and the G to X-rays. Was less than a 30 min wait. I did hear that much of the staff went on break like at 11 after i got out so people got stuck there until they came back. People who drove had issues parking or had to pay a good amount at a garage, my suggestion is take the train or maybe even drive and park at the last location you will visit and take the train from there that way you can just drive home after your last stop.
Honestly I think they only care about past prescriptions that may impair your ability to drive truck safely. Narcotic drugs, mind altering drugs for depression, etc.
If they are you forgot to mention meds for a cold or allergy I doubt they would say anything.
On the paperwork for the medical they only ask for prescriptions taken the last 12 months, so i wouldn't worry too much if you leave stuff out thats past that time frame.
Is a wrong turn a traffic violation where i have to get a disposition for?
To be on the safe side I pulled my own DMV driver abstract to make sure nothing showed up before I went for pre-orientation. It's only $8 on the DMV website

You got it man, just do what they teach you, call out damn near everything, and like they say try to leave the curb with no points, kill the pre-trip and brakes, u got it....
