I'm going to be moving to NYC in July for a job. I'm just out of college and will be earning 65K. I want to live in a safe neighborhood either IN OR NEAR Manhatten, and am looking to spend under $1400 on rent. Where should I start looking?

i think u can find somewhere decent on $1400 a month within a 30 minute radius of manhattan pretty much.
