I live in Jersey but there are times when I'm conducting business in Manhattan. I'm familiar with Chipotle, Shake Shack and Five Guys - yuck!

Too often I'm trying new places that end up being mediocre and highly expensive.

What places are good? Spill the beans.

Yeah I'm looking for something besides the Indian trucks. I might have to try them out again. Unlike the corporate establishments, Indian Trucks offer satisfactory food options. I'm happy that Indian Trucks are successful, because the corporate establishments are downright ruthless with their prices (ex: tiny sandwich priced as if it were a full course meal).

Which is the best Indian Truck? And are they open on Saturdays?

Well if you want a true INDIAN truck, there's one called Biryani House on Liberty Square downtown that in addition to the usual chicken and rice menu has chicken biryani and, my favorite, KATI ROLLS. Greasy as hell but delicious. $6 for two.

EDIT: Since I answered the opposite of your question, I'll also suggest the Tacos Morelos truck, which is at Water and Wall during the day. There's also one near the Bedford stop on the L at night (taco truck next to city's drunkest subway stop = printing money, basically). They're pretty good.
