Starting at 124th they made 5th ave one lane each for left and right and added zebra stripes, which is fine, and made 2 dedicated crossing lanes at the NW corner of the park, which is fine too, but then the double white lines bordering the inner travel lane make these weird boxes interrupting the left travel lane when you go down the west side of the park. What is that? I've never seen it before. They also took out that merge point barrier at the sw corner so now 2 lanes go all the way around. There are other spray painted guides on the street so I guess there are more thrills to come. Anybody know the master plan?
