I just think NYC needs that one player to who is head and shoulders above the rest. To represent the whole NYC metro area. When you think about it, New York sports doesn't have a huge superstar right now. Jeter and arod are injured right now and at the end of their careers. Carmelo is a super star but not really larger than life. Same with deron Williams. Mariano Rivera is at the end of his career. There's no player right now in NYC sports who the media can just marvel about nonstop. Imagine if lebron was on the Knicks or nets playing in New York? It would be crazy he wouldn't be able to go anywhere. New York sports needs someone like that right now.
