I have been in a relationship with my boyfriend for over 10 years now. I also happen to have a 20 year old daughter who is currently in school. When applying for apartment lotteries, what should I list him as? (The term boyfriend sounds strange to me). Also, I have a 19 year old daughter who is currently in college and commutes on a regular basis. If by chance, we happen to be selected for an apartment, does this mean that we will live in a two bedroom apt?

No one you don't put on the apt lottery form can live with you if they aren't included on it. And those included on it as well as your income must fit in the income range.

List him as "husband." It will cause you fewer problems. "Fiance" would be impossilbe for anyoone to disprove and it has more of an air of permanence than boyfriend.

If you want to sound like an olde farte you could try "beau."
