What is the quickest way to get from Brooklyn to NJ ?
It depends where in NJ, but I would avoid going through Manhattan. You can go through Staten Island and then take either the Outerbridge, Bayonne, or Goethals Bridge, depending on your final destination in NJ.
Westbound, there shouldn't be a problem, but eastbound, the SIE tends to move more slowly.
The town is Millburn.....and the neighborhood im leaving from is Bay Ridge
Well then that just reinforces the point that it's best to go through SI. Just take I-278 (the SIE) to Rt. 440 (the MLK Expressway), go over the Bayonne Bridge, and go west along I-78.

OP never mentioned what time he/she is traveling. If it's before 7AM or after 11PM (but NOT between 12AM-12:30AM; Holland tunnel gets clogged because one lane gets closed for cleaning), going through Manhattan (Holland Tunnel) is faster.
