Why can't you stay in a hotel or hostel for a few nights while you find a sublet? I would not recommend taking any sublet sight unseen.
That said, if you would provide the location (cross street) of your internship, or an approximate location if you're not comfortable providing the cross streets, perhaps we could suggest other neighborhoods. Also provide your budget for rent.
