i have friend who lives there on the 29th floor. The building is located in marble hill, bronx or subsection of northern manhattan due to a historical geographical quirk. Its a mitchell lama rental building. It has security. I believe every apt has a terrace. Views from the upper floors are spectacular (hudson river, inwood hill park, downtown etc). The building is a couple yards away from the metro north train station and alittle bit farther is the number 1 on broadway. On the other side of broadway and 225 is a shopping center with a bank, gym, target, marshalls etc.

Thank you for your information. I pass that building when I'm on the MetroNorth.

Default The Promenade Apts on West 225th Bronx

Is this building in a safe neighborhood at night around 11PM?

Is the noise from Metro North or the subway loud right there?

I will be traveling at night using Metro North or the subway line,
is it a safe walk to the Promenade at 11PM on a weeknight?

Will the streets be deserted?

The streets are never deserted near that area during that time, since it is right near the 1 train stop. The walk from the station to Promenade is a very short one, like five minutes. It should be fine.

The walk from the 1 train to the Promenade passes a 24 hour Planet Fitness. Applebees and Target are open to 11 or 12 on weeknights. There are a couple of decently busy bus stops right off the 1 train as well. There are people around, its fine.

Regarding you either taking the subway or Metronorth, take the subway. The 1 train leaves your closer to home and is cheaper than Metronorth.

I couldn't tell you about noise off Metronorth at the Promenade. I live on the other side of Broadway.

Ok thank you. Do you know if your friends apartment is a good sized apartment or is a typical shoebox sized NYC apartment?
