Hello,
Is the area around the Sand Castle apartments in Far Rockaway desireable? Safe? Exactly how much of a pain is it to commute to Lower Manhattan? Anyone heard anything good or bad about the apartment complex?

absolutely nothing around there...gotta take a bus to the train, it is a safe part of far rockaway though, but i have heard of management not being attentive enough to daily issues.

Thanks! There not being anything out there is perfectly fine. After a day in the city, I want nothing! I currently commute from Hamilton NJ but would like to establish NYC residency to be able to attend Hunter. My current commute is 2 to 2.5 hrs/day each way and I was hoping a move could possibly shave an hour per way from that (I work around the WTC site).
Is it possible to drive and park at either the Mott Av or Beach Channel Drive A train stops?
