Hello, I am trying to get one year lease on a studio in Manhattan or NJ. Does anyone know good sites besides the craiglist? Also, I am trying to avoid broker's fee.

Across the boards everybody complains about CL. Hit the streets in the neighborhood you want. Make up some cards with your info to leave behind. Check the laundromats and delis for a 1 year sublet notice. Owners of small buildings are more inclined to do the renting themselves. Craigslist usually brings nothing but brokers looking for listings or paroled child molesters. Ask anybody coming out of a building if they know anything. That's how I found my place. (laundromat)
