Can they be in tenant selection without giving log numbers? That is the case with a property I was looking into. Anyone know more about this or how this could be?

Usually status goes to Tenant Selection, and then the actual log numbers will be posted - the lag between the two can range from a couple of days to a couple of weeks.

The lack of communication is annoying. July is about to end. The new website still isn't active and there hasn't been any new listings in weeks.

So there's finally 1 listing showing on the new housing connect website! it's for a development in the bronx and for those who fall within the 60% AMI and lower. I don't qualify to apply but I really like how the listing is set up. It's much more easier to understand preferences, who should apply, how long you have to apply (in this case, the listing will be open for 32 more days and that was very clear) and they even list pictures of inside the unit. So this new site is definitely an upgrade from the old site. Go check it out!

Finally, I love that they have pictures, hopefully that will be the case for all going forward.

Right! I hope this sets the precedent as well! I always thought about the disadvantage to blindly applying to an apartment you haven't even seen yet. What if you get all the way through to the apartment viewing and you don't like it or it's super small! Yet, I still apply because the rent is too damn high and these lotteries are one way of landing something affordable lol
