Wow for a city that claims to be "progressive" and forward thinking I'm really shocked by the poll results..especially the over 20 percent of people who stated they support who General Lee was?

I'm not surprised. There are stark divides that alot of people don't want to talk about.

It does . Although you're trying to keep it narrowly focused on whites and Southern pride , I'm pointing out the hypocrisy here . Blacks are constantly being reminded that they are victims and only by removing all things " Confederate " will anything change . Southern pride is something that only dumb white crackers hold onto , right ?

So I ask you , where is the " African pride " ? Why is there no legitimate black leader extolling the virtues of African culture ? Where is the movement to return to the homeland that everybody pretends to identify with ? Juneteenth and Kwanza is about as far as ya'll want to go and that barely get's a mention .

Hypocrisy , my friend . You refuse to see it . Go ahead and take the statues and the flags down . Then what ? What will you blame next ?

No it does not. We are not talking about Africa. We are talking about the South, and ONLY the South. How hard is that to understand?

You only bring up what you bring up to deflect from the topic. Stay on topic. Otherwise, there is nothing else to discuss.

Or maybe nothing you are saying has anything to do with this thread, and your aim is to deflect from that I have to say. I think you are doing this because you don't have any answers. At least I admit that I don't know and don't care. My only concern is the subject I'm talking about, period.

Well removing the statues wouldn't involve much work, fixing the roads looks vary much impossible, lol They could start at any time.
