I know, I could go online and check out websites that ships King Cakes, but I want to get opinions on here from people who have actually sampled enough of them from various places.

In your opinion, who makes the best King Cakes? I know that shipment hikes up the costs considerably, but next year I may consider ordering one.

Thanks!

Manny Randazzo King Cake is, honestly, the best king cake I have ever tried in my life. If you are going to ship a king cake, you might as well ship the best!

It should be noted that there are several Randazzo's, and many locals have a fierce loyalty attached to their chosen one. I just buy mine at Rouse's; I shipped a friend of mine a blueberry cream cheese to San Jose- there's still time for this season.

Second that.

I worked at Manny's for 8 years; ate king cake everyday and never got tired of it. I don't know what that says about me, but it says a lot for the king cake!

Because of this thread I went out and bought one from Manny Randazzo's- a medium cream cheese.

I don't get it. It's just overwhelmingly sweet, and well- that's it. I prefer the ones from Rouse's.

I was sad about Hubig's, too. I discovered their pies in Walgreen's, of all places. We were visiting and I had to pick up some items, and their coconut cream fried pie on the checkout shelf looked interesting, so I bought one (and that one ended up my favorite Hubig's flavor). I even ordered a dozen from them once. With shipping they ended up spendy but it was worth it. I believe they're intending to re-open somewhere.
