are there any disabled veterans here or any one else that would know if they get property tax exemption in nm or even not have to pay sales tax? Thanks
I am not sure about other counties in the state, but Bernalillo county (http://www.bernco.gov/live/assessor_faq.asp#q11297 - broken link) (where Albuquerque is located) offers a 100% property tax exemption for 100% disabled veterans. The VA hospital is also located in Albuquerque. I can't answer your question about sales tax, but maybe someone else on here can. If you are exploring other areas of the state, you will need to check with those particular counties regarding the property tax exemption. Good luck to you!
