i used to listen to talk radio. i cant handle it anymore. besides the repetition of the same things, i cant deal with the stress of getting angry about everything the government does all the time. i need to relax when im in the car. so its britney spears, lady gaga and katy perry for me.

i check out drudgereport and yahoo for news.

I gave up on the Star Ledger over a year ago, except for Sundays, for the coupons. Most of the stories are through the AP; so listen to the radio or catch news stories online, much faster to learn of events happening.

Thanks everyone! Sounds like the Star Ledger is the way to go. I like have the paper not only to read the news, but for the other features as well, such as Living, Entertainment, Real Estate, flyers and of course the Sports for my husband! I also love to do crosswords and sudoku, as well as read the comics (admit it - you like the comics too!).

I read "all of them that have been in front of me over the years..." LOL

Star-Ledger and occasionally the Jersey Journal when I just want to read trashy Hudson County gossip.

I read the Star Ledger online every day and the New York Times paper copy on Sundays. My husband prefers to read the Ledger paper copy all week long...our son is an editor there and we want to keep him employed...it's rough there.

many newspapers, the paper copy, are having it rough! If I remember last year there was talk of the SL shutting down. Hope that doesn't happen.

If all the paper copies go by the wayside do you really think we are going to be able to read the online versions for free??? I think they will make us subscribe and pay a fee

if they charge people will just click to a different free site no big deal. Google loves giving free services to people and will continue to. why should I wait the next day for my ... (fill in the blank) when I can get it right now

im certainly not going to worry about losing paper news because if they go some or all online sites will charge a fee. for one thing, its likely they wont. for another, if they do then ill deal with it as it comes.

The paper should have been free just like radio and paid for by advertisers but they continue to raise cost on subscriptions and their subscribers are fleeing. It’s a losing battle, it is just a matter of time now.
