For the past 2 weeks they have not taken my bottles. I mixed glass and plastic bottles together. That is the way we have always done it in previous towns.
Anybody familiar with the rules for receicling?

I would contact the town and see if anything has changed
How heavy is the recycle bin...if more then a 30 gallon can I don't think they have to pick it up as in most towns that's the limit
I still put plastic & bottles and they are always picked up

Call the town and ask why it hasn't been picked up

In my town, the glass/plastic recycling pick-up does not come every week...only every other week, i.e. every 2 weeks. Same for paper. Only regular garbage is picked up every week (twice a week).

in my town recyclables are only picked up every other week. Depending on the section of town you live in determines what day they are picked up. Mine is on Wednesdays. A few blocks over its Tuesdays. Check with your town to see if they have a "Town Calendar". If so it would have all the recycling rules and garbage pickup days and such on it. But each town is different so, you gotta ask.

some towns don't pick up recycling... you have to drive it over to their bins which are typically located behind or near your municipal building. I pay my garbage company to pick up recycling every other week.

Our town only picks up our recycling once a month! Can you imagine how much we have....thank goodness it's included in the taxes.

Some towns don't give two $hi%s about recycling! Mine is one of them! You basically throw everything that formerly contained liquid into the trash can. Then the garbage truck comes, and takes the cans away.
