Ok, I have an interesting question for everyone here.

Last year I had a guy come by to give me a cost estimate for central air installation. He gave us a good price but I didnt have it done due to other things to tackle in our new house.

Well, here we are, almost a year later and I want to have the work done. Should I:

+ Try to use the same quote as last year or,
+ Get a new quote

It is a little bit like "a bird in the bush..." Do I use last years price which is good, or do I try to do better this year assuming business might have dropped off a bit because of the economy? Then again, the price could rise just due to inflation.

Oh and wiley, feel free to DM me your contact- more quotes are always welcome.

Equipment prices haven't changed much. Just make sure that he/she is quoting you for at least a 13 seer unit and that the unit uses R410A and not R22. I would call them and see if the price is still good... it should be. Then if they say yes, ask them what the "cash" price would be ...you can probably get them down a couple hundred more Then call that Wiley group and see if they can match if not beat it
