Does anyone live nearby a watershed? any hazards of owning a house nearby? worst case being a leak and causing mold. Or on a flipside if you plant veggies in your backyard, they are delicious.. thanks

I'm assuming you're basically talking about a swamp like the Great Swamp in North Jersey which is part of a larger watershed that supplies basically all of Essex County's water. Other than having one or more sump pumps with a battery backup (in case the power goes down-which is usually during a rainstorm), no worries. My fiancee's grandparents live on a cul-de-sac less than 200 yards from the Great Swamp. Other than the fact that their sump pumps run constantly, no ill effects. Mold in a house is 99.9% of the time caused by improper ventilation and could occur anywhere.
