So the house next door to me was on the market for maybe 8 months or so and was bought by a really nice family around March of this year. The grandparents, mother, father, and 3 kids live in the house. The house was made into a 2 family (I would love to see how my original neighbors managed that considering it's no bigger than my one family home). Anyway the grandparents said they moved with them to help them get the house and help out. All 4 adults work so imagine my shock when my mom yelled "They have a for sale sign on the lawn" this evening. My mom is now pissed because the parents owe her money for services rendered but that's another story.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the housing market in the toilet the beginning of this year? Are there people still buying homes they can't afford and are lenders still taking risks???? I knew they were having financial difficulties but they were still having their lawn manicured and service regularly just last week!!! Beautiful family but what the hell is going on?? You would have thought they flipped the house since they are selling so fast.

Guess this means new neighbors

You could always try . . . talking to them. lol that that wouldn't have occurred to you.

All kinds of things could be going on, including issues related to employment, the needs of relatives, etc.
