How safe is it? Would it be safe at night?

where are you going to exactly?

the new station is really nice...a lot better than the old one. but the neighborhood is not the safest...it's not a good idea to walk around in Trenton late at night.

that being said, there are a ton of cops patrolling the area, making sure state workers and elected officials get to and from their cars safely.

Whenever I travel to Washington for work I typically use Trenton station. Usually I leave very early (5:30 AMish) and return late (after (9:00 or 10:00 PM) the station itself is perfectly safe as its not that large and staffed with NJ Transit police 24 hours a day. The parking garages are very close, but one should certainly be aware of their surroundings after dark. That being said, thousands of people pass through the station every day/night without a problem.

I'm going to and from Philadelphia, so I'd have to transfer in Trenton. I already checked the neighborhood of where I'm going in Philly and it's pretty safe. I was thinking it would probably be ok, because of all the people who commute to and from Philly everyday do have to use the Trenton transit center. My only concern was that when I was coming back it would be at night.
