So we are doing some work to the house, I was there yesterday with my wife & was a bit surprise how welcoming the neighborhood was. The gentleman right next door wasted no time & came to introduce himself, stayed talking with me for a good while. Even introduced me to other neighbors. So awesome. I had no idea there were a lot of mosquitos by there (which doesn’t really bother me much). I had no idea that deers just walk the streets like it’s nothing. I was also told that there would an occasional bear specially in the early hours, now IS THAT A PROBLEM???

The state bird in NJ is a mosquito. They can be brutal.
The deer have zero predators. They casually flip me the hoof while eating my shrubs and defecating at the same time.
There are bears in NJ. Do not leave any food outside your house or in your cars. Sometimes they go after bird feeders.
Some years ago I was driving on Brady Road right before dusk and there was a bear in somebody's backyard helping himself out of the garbage can. They have no fear.
Lololol oh man, that stinks. Ok I’ll be mindful. I’m assuming you don’t take out the garbage bins until garbage day. Another question, about GRASS. If I cut & bag it…does the regular garbage truck take care of that, is it another waste management company? How do I go about that? Thank you guys again for responding.
My sister lives off of Lakeside Boulevard, and she has to put bear and raccoon blockers on her garbage cans. Bears are very common in her neighborhood, but they are a nuisance more than something to be afraid of. They are hungry, smart scavengers looking for food.
Thanks for that. I’m not too TOO worried about it, but it would stink if I’m having a BBQ & Winnie the Pooh shows up all uninvited.
