Some of the few buildings left from the abandoned mental hospital Overbrook in Cedar Grove. They started knocking them down a year or two ago, but have since stopped. I was nervous taking photos because the police from the county sheriff's office is usually around, but since I stayed on the sidewalk and didn't trespass on the grounds I think it was all right.

What a sad place it must have been. But the buildings were beautiful and so were the grounds:

I took these photos last week:

The main administration building:

The old firehouse at Overbrook. Sorry this one is rather fuzzy.

Just got done checking out all of the Jersey pics. Sure made me miss the state. I was born in Phillipsbuhrg and lived in Washington ( Warren County) from 1968-1981 then moved to Albuquerque. Still have family in the area and do get back on occasion.
Was wondering if anyone has pictures of the Washington area?

I hate this cold weather!

Makes me wish for spring.

Here are some photos from last April in Montclair. It was so warm the tulips (the town flower) were blooming early :

I miss summer, too! No coats, gloves, hats, scarves, boots. The warm sun, the ocean breezes, ah . . .

These are some pics from Ocean Grove:
