On Saturday, 8/14/10, I went to Kingston, NJ, which sits in three counties in New Jersey, Middlesex, Somerset, and Mercer. These are shots of the Middlesex portion.
Back portion of the Pierce House. This has been renovated by Princeton Investment Properties.
Woodwinds was originally a garage. It now contains several artists who have joined together to form Verde, an artists' collective.
Hmmm, I was looking through this thread, and I am intrigued. Thank you all for some excellent shots. I have a few of my own to offer, and will start here. I hope ytou enjoy!

OK, that's it for now. I'll come back in a while and post some more. Again, I hope you enjoy these.

See as much as people despise these views, I'm always facisnated by the industrious scene- NJ controlled much of the growing northeast's financial growth.
There's so much history in your shots.
Thanks so much, BPerone. Yes, I enjoy this type of photography a LOT. There are some "pictures" I see on a daily basis, but for reasons of security, or because of their location, it makes them difficult to get anything more than a cellphone photo through dirty traincar windows.
I much prefer being able to use some good equipment, and make these captures using correct settings, lenses, etc. The shots from the top of the Hack were a REAL treat! Never thought I'd get the opportunity to do that.
I have quite a few more that I will "publish" here in the near future. I noticed from Jane's post, that I should probably include a copyright notice ... but then again, these are really small renditions of the actual images. FWIW, those originals have made some EXCELLENT prints at 13"x19" sizes.
You know you guys take really great pics. In the photography forum there is a sub forum photography contest and the one is shots in your home state..the contests have not had much activity lately so when opened in Sept..POST some of these GREAT shots....
Thanks for this, njkate. I never knew this site had all those other forums. Wow, this thing is HUGE!
Anyway, I looked in today, and I see the pics need to be "fresh", within the last month. The one's I'm currently posting here do not meet that qualification.
While I still have all the photo-gear, I seldom get out to shoot these days. I was hoping to be able to retire later this year (would free up time for the hobby), but those plans have been scuttled for a few years, at best.
Also, I tried to get into the "discussion" thread for that contest, but the links seem to be broken. I alerted the Administrator of the problem.
But WOW, some really nice images are there already, although not many.
Maybe I'll see what I can do this weekend. There's a particular building in Newark that I've wanted to shoot for a long time. We'll see.
As promised, here are a few more of my shots in New Jersey. I hope you enjoy them, and again, thanks for the nice comments on my last set.

OK, that's about it for now. These are all old photos, taken by me during 2005-2007. Hopefully, someday, I will be able to continue this hobby.
Again, I hope you enjoy these images, as much as I did creating them.
