I don't think posting on City-data is going to get them to set up a store :-)
Me, I'd like a decent "regular" supermarket myself. Safeway (which is cutting stores, alas), Acme (sold to Cerberus, which can't be good), Giant, or Price Chopper. Maybe Giant Eagle, only went to one of them once but it seemed OK.
I would really like it if Fairway Markets decided to open a store in Central NJ.
Their existing locations, the closest of which are about a 1 hour drive from Central NJ, are great places to shop if I am in Northern NJ, but I have a very hard time justifying a special trip to these stores, despite their very good prices on high-end food products and their great selection of high-quality produce.
In fact, I have sent their management e-mails on a couple of occasions, pointing out the availability of former Pathmark stores (now vacant), in areas with demographics that would suggest a good customer base. In both cases, they did respond with some type of "boilerplate" statement about...always seeking new locations...and thanking me for my suggestion.

They are essentially a NY-based operation, but their store in Paramus has been open for several years. Last year, they opened an additional location in Woodland Park.
If you ever have occasion to be near either of those locations, I suggest that you stop in and see the reasonably-priced bounty!

Thanks for link sounds interesting but all the stores are too far from me.
Same issue with Wegmans I have to haul out to PA, which certain times of the year is a nice drive but can't do it every week.
When I go out to visit my son in Stuyvesant Heights I'll have to see how far Red Hook is
I have been to Fairways, they are good, but I like Wegmans so much more.
