Hi!

I am arriving on a sunday evening (7pm) on JFK and I need to to in the same evening to Jersey City, on 475 Washington Boulevard. Looking over google maps and using direction they say PATh trains are unavailable from friday to monday morning, but they don't give me any other option.

Is that true? What route should I pick?
Public transport to Penn Station and a cab is a viable sollution?

Thanks!

PATH trains run 24 hours a day. They where out a bit after the big hurricane but just check the PORT Authority website, they operate the PATH. There was a recent news post where they restored full service meaning all stations, etc.

it's simpler than you think just use LIRR to penn station then use PATH from 33rd street at 6th ave that's it 2 trains. PATH is one block east of penn station.

I see exactly where ole eeeevil Google has not updated their link, yes. If you click on that map link , the PATH website says its all restored 24/7

Check it yourself, I also saw this in the news this past week but think it only affected Exchange Place station which wouldn't bother you anyway, but it is all restored 24/7 now.

PATH - The Port Authority of NY & NJ

Yes, Google is out of date. As of this weekend, PATH is 24/7 at all stations. Best route from JFK is either A (from Howard Beach) or E (from Sutphin Blvd) to Penn Station, then walk two blocks to the PATH at Herald Sq.

You would take the A train to World Trade Center then the PATH over...

This is what I usually do. AirTrain from JFK to Howard Beach, the A subway to Chambers Street, walk a block to WTC PATH and PATH train to Jersey City.

He's going to Newport. Train doesn't go directly from WTC to Newport on the weekends.
