Clerk street - Bergen Lafayette (Bayonne: buying a house, buying, construction)

I am thinking of buying a house for my parents on that street. It's only three blocks away from the light rail. Can anyone tell me more about the area and whether it is safe? thank you

That area is a little iffy , and the land is contaminated with all sorts of nasty chemicals... Id be more worried about the Toxic waste and future major construction that will disturb that waste then crime. Why don't you look into a house in neighboring Bayonne...
